UK – Grosvenor launches North West’s biggest poker room

The North West of England’s largest poker room has opened at Grosvenor G Casino Manchester following an investment of £1.7m from Rank Group.
The new 240-seat and 24 table poker room will be unveiled to the public on July 12as one of the largest poker rooms in the United Kingdom. It will host a Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) festival as well as other national poker events and will be made available for private functions, regular cash games and private poker.
At the launch, the G Casino Manchester, is to host a number of tournaments that have at least £15,500 in guaranteed prizes every week throughout July.
It is not only the poker room that has benefited from the investment; the entire casino has been given an overhaul and now features the ‘Gold Room,’ a private area for high stakes players. Forty slot machines and electronic games have been added to the casino’s existing offering.
